Midnight Juggernauts 24-08-2007

Aug 26, 12:58

Friday night, post-mission-week-1, letting off some steam with Midnight Juggernaut (The Juggers to most). They’re a bit Daft Punk, a bit Sleeping In Trains, but a lot of fun!

This is what you get when you sell tickets for an 8pm show, and then don’t put the headliners on until 11pm…

Kudos to whoever designed the lighting for this gig!

This is the photo you get when they’ve dimmed the lights for the headliners but still make you wait for twenty minutes after scurrying down to the floor…

Arachnid Adventure

Feb 19, 09:14

We last left our gentleman tramp in the care of a kindly pastor and his wife. Time passed and it came time for that pastor to venture beyond his parish borders in search of rest, and so the care of the homestead and it’s two lovable but stupid guard dogs fell to our fool. All was well for many days, until in the course of doing his washing, our fool felt a strange presence upon his back – unbeknownst to him, a dish-sized huntsman had decided to gain some altitude by means of our hero. Casually flicking at the irritation, the spider was cast to the laundry floor. Feeling pity for the creature, our fool swept him up in his hand and took him to the garden, thinking it the last he would see of him.
But no…
Later that night, whilst caring for the guards, our hero noted his friend having re-entered the house and making it’s way along the laundry wall. Too lazy to deal with it at that point, the task of bringing order to the remnants of the evil cardboard kingdom that still troubled his room was taken up instead.
Finally, seeking rest from his labours, our fool went to enter his room. Not two steps into his chamber, a familiar presence landed upon his shoulders. Giving an entirely-manly-and-not-in-any-way-squealish grunt, the spider was cast once more to the floor. This worthy foe was chased about the room for quite some time before the mighty ice-cream container and sheet of paper swept down upon it, and it was safely escorted to the very borders of the land of Heron.
And so peace was returned once more…
